Denton Dragway 2002 General Rules

1. Alcohol consumption by participating drivers is prohibited!
2. NO ALCOHOL is allowed in the staging lanes or on the starting line area.
3. NO GLASS BOTTLES are allowed on the track premises.
4. The speed limit in the pit area is 5 MPH.
5. NO skate boards or roller blades are allowed in the pit area.
6. NO scooters, 3/4 wheelers, or bikes are to be used for recreational riding in the pit area.
(Parents, for your children's safety, please help us by monitoring your OWN children). Children under the age of 16 are not allowed on these vehicles.

Racer Rules

1. All cars must have seat belts. Cars running 7.49 or faster must have restraint system meeting SFI 16-1 specifications. (See NHRA Rule Book)
2. All cars running 7.49 or faster must have a roll bar. Cars running 6.99 or faster must have a roll cage.
3. All cars running between 4.50 and 6.39 must have a chassis certification every three years.
3. All cars running 8.59 or faster, driver must wear a helmet.
4. All cars running 7.49 or faster, driver must wear a fire retarding jacket.
5. All drivers of cars running 6.39 or faster must have an NHRA Competition License.
6. All drivers must wear long pants. Drivers may not wear sleeveless shirts!
7. All cars running 6.39 or faster (or where batteries have been relocated to the trunk area) must have a master electrical cutoff switch.
8. All cars and motorcycles must have one working tail light.
9. Motorcycles - All riders must wear leather jacket, leather gloves, leather shoes (above ankle) and full face helmet.
