The
return of the Pro Mods to Denton Dragway, for the first time
in more than a year, was everything we anticipated and more!
Although Mother Nature tried to spoil our fun, the Texas Outlaw
Pro Mod drivers showed up in full force looking to put on
a show.
When all was said and done, Ronnie Niswanger walked away with
the title and the Texas Outlaw Pro Mod points lead. Ronnie's
1967 Chevy II was tuned up all night, and he was able out
pedal the "Madman" Frankie Taylor in an extremely close final
round.
Congratulations go out to all the drivers for putting up some
great numbers. Even with the cold, humid air making the track
surface tricky, we were able to see plenty of 4.20 and 4.30
passes. We have already placed an order for some better weather
on April 12th when the Pro Mods return to Denton, and we look
forward to seeing some even faster and closer races.
