Jr. Dragster Rules
Jr. Dragster drivers will earn 10 points for entering an eliminator and an additional 10 points for each round won. Each eliminator winner will receive 2 bonus points and runner-up will receive 1 bonus point. Points are awarded to the driver and a driver may earn points in only one eliminator per event. If you should win and be unable to return to competition, please notify the tower to ensure your points are awarded correctly. Jr. Dragster eliminator will be divided into two categories: Sportsman (10.50 & slower) and Modified (7.90 - 10.49). Points will be given in Jr. Sportsman and Jr. Modified. Please Note: In order to run faster than 8.90...you MUST be at least 13 years old. Jr. Dragster drivers must enroll in the points program (free of charge) at the ET window. Drivers must use their Jr. Drag Racing League number to earn points. Denton Dragway can assign a temporary number until you receive your permanent JDRL number. All drivers must be a member of the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League and have a current JDRL participant number.

1. Deep staging is allowed. Drivers must have deep written on their car.
2. When staging, if a driver accidently deep stages and wishes to re-stage, the driver must raise their hand and the starter will move the car back for re-staging. You may only re-stage once.
3. No driver may run 2 separate eliminators at the same event.
4. All 8 & 9 year olds must run 12.90 or slower as stated in the JDRL Rulebook.
5. Ages 10-12 are restricted to 8.90 seconds and slower as stated in the JDRL Rulebook.
6. Advanced (ages 13-17) Restricted to 7.90 seconds or slower as stated in the JDRL Rulebook.
7. The exhaust on your racecar may not extend past the rear edge of the tires.
8. Staging devices of any kind are prohibited.
9. Once a participant commits to a staging lane, DO NOT make any lane changes.
10. No car may run consolation Eliminator if the driver is still in competition in any other class.
11. All dial-ins must be on the car or with the driver. Dial-in boards MAY NOT be displayed by crew member.
